Foraging hike, potluck July 8

Join your neighbors July 8 at Laura Barta and Ted Jastrzebski’s cabin in Steamboat Bay for a Big Mantrap Lake Association social event featuring a morning foraging hike and potluck lunch, weather-permitting.

 The one-hour hike begins at 10:30 a.m. on trails the family has developed and maintains. Someone will be available to point out possible foraging opportunities. To judge whether you want to join the hike, the trails are well cleared but sometimes hilly. The hike will stay at a reasonable pace.

 Please bring chairs and a dish to share. Those who can’t hike but enjoy socializing are also welcome. Call or text Laura Barta at 717-756-5705 for more details and to let her know you will attend. Laura will send directions and parking instructions to participants.
